The Associate Pastor to Families will provide leadership and direction to the Pioneer Community Student and Children’s ministries. He will lead the effort in building and maintaining a team of adult and youth leaders whose purpose will be to make disciples. He will work to build young disciples for Christ by developing and implementing a comprehensive approach to youth and children’s ministry (in the areas of prayer, worship, discipleship, ministry, and mission) while serving as the spiritual leader and role model to students and children. The Student Pastor reports to the Senior Pastor.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have a relationship with Jesus Christ
2. Must meet the qualifications of a pastor described in Titus 1 and Timothy.
3. Passion for evangelizing Students and growing them as Disciples of Christ.
4. Must be in full agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message (most recent)
5. Ability to preach/teach
6. Preference is for the person to be married
7. A Bible college degree is desired.
8. Must have vision and a demonstrated ability to plan, develop, coordinate, manage and implement a student ministry.
9. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, conflict management skills, and computer skills.
10. Must posses a proven ability to work effectively with youth, diverse individuals, and teams of volunteers.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be doctrinally sound and lead the Youth and Children into a Biblical foundation for life. Rentz Baptist Church adheres to the BF&M 2000, but we are not Calvinistic in our core beliefs. Must be able to work without constant supervision, and must be able to work well with the Senior Pastor and church committees.

Calvary Baptist Church in Bastrop, Texas is seeking a full time Minister to Children. This person will be responsible for leading our dynamic and growing ministry to children and their families.

We have a passionate and dedicated group of volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of children. Three years ago we had 4 children in our church. Currently we average over 50 on Sunday morning, 72 in Awana, and over 100 in our Vacation Bible School. The foundation is laid for an amazing ministry to children that will impact our community and beyond.

We are NOT looking for someone to “do” ministry to children. We are looking for someone to set the vision, develop teams, and equip workers. We have a great group of leaders; we need a leader of leaders. We need a someone who will take us to the next level. This person must have a calling to children’s ministry and experience working with children in a medium or large church.

Calvary is a growing church, in a growing community, 30 miles east of Austin. Over the past three years our average Sunday morning attendance has grown for 80 to over 240. Later this year we will break ground on a new multipurpose building. This new building will provide the space for us to reach over 600 people.

We desire to be a church that reaches all generations in our community. To that end we have growing ministries to children, students, young adults, families, and senior adults. We have two unique services on Sunday morning. Our Classic Service at 9:00 a.m. is primarily hymns with a choir, piano, acoustic guitar, and percussion. Our Modern Service at 10:30 a.m. is primarily modern songs with a full worship band. We also have a growing number of small groups meeting at various times and locations. As a church we are excited about what God is doing in and through us and look forward to where he is going to take us in the future.
